Description

Ground water comprises all the water that is under ground level. There are numerous types of ground water, some of which may be tens of millennia old. Other than in static underground lakes, much water flows through either porous rock or through fractures in impervious rock. As a general rule, most ground water has a higher than average total dissolved solids and electrical conductivity.
