Description
Unlike tidal energy, wave energy is completely unpredictable. The quantity of energy in waves varies greatly, according to the cause. The most useful type of wave energy that may be harnessed is a heavy swell. Pressure variations within a caisson may be used to drive a generator. As far as is known, this has been little used, to date.
